A unique example of Vijiriega, an historic white variety that was almost lost in Cádiz. These plants were brought from the Canary Islands, where it is also grown. Grapes sourced from albariza soils in the pago Añina were fermented and aged in foudre and 600-litre oak barrels. Sunflower seeds, white fruit and herbal aromas and a finely textured palate leading to a long finish with distinctive saltiness. Beyond the fact that Vijiriega may open new paths in the area, this is an excellente wine. 16.5 points
