The first take of this producer into barrel aging is really subtle (the wine spends 12 months in stainless steel tanks and 6 months in oak). Grapes are sourced from arguably the northernmost plot in the Salnés valley planted on a steep, granitic-sandy slope facing the Atlantic Ocean. The fine, complex nose (citrus fruit, fennel, camomile flowers) is followed by an unctuous round palate with nice balance leading to a finish evocative of herbs and dry stones. Very much alive.
