The grapes for Ostatu's first organic wine are sourced from a 2.8Ha plot located in Samaniego (Rioja Alavesa). Planted in 1995 on limestone and gravel soils, it borders a path called Paso del Escobal, hence the name. Aged in oak vats, this red wine is an explosion of fresh, juicy fruit and captures the crunchy texture we love from this part of Rioja. It's a delightful style and it will appeal to many types of consumers. Amazing value. 16.5 points
