Despite the 14% vol. stated on the label, this is a fresh, expressive Mencía dsiplaying wild berries and herbal aromas together with good acidity. Lively and vibrant, the wine blends old vineyards from different areas in the appellation. Ribeiras do Miño makes for 60% and the rest comes from the two banks of river Sil. This perfect introduction to Ribeira Sacra's dominant style has also the potential to develop with time. 16.5 points
