This wine, first released on the 1996 vintage, has been gradually including some of the old grape varieties recovered by the Torres family, notably Querol and Garró. The nose is almost intoxicating with lots of herbs, wild fruits (blue and black berries) and plum preserve aromas. There is a lovely earthy, mineral character on the palate and enough tension to make it lively and fresh. A benchmark for Mediterranean reds. 94 points
