A great introduction to Maturana Blanca, one of Rioja’s ancient white varieties which is being grown again in the region. It is a real favourite of researcher and producer Juan Carlos Sancha, who actively worked in the recovery of minor grapes in Rioja. Distinctive white and ripe citrus fruit aromas and a broad, structured palate with plenty of acidity. The variety prevails over the oak -the wine spent three months in 500-litre French oak barrels. An outstanding white at a very affordable price. 17.0 points
