This wine is a perfect introduction to white Ribeiro given its fresh character and complexity with floral notes, apples and fine herbs over a citrus background. Producer Manuel Formigo usually blends grapes harvested ripe (over 13% vol.) with fruit from an earlier harvest (around 11% vol.) 2017 was a difficult vintage, but this wine benefited from some high quality grapes usually destined to Formigo’s experimental single-varietal range, thus the extra of depth. Great value. 16.5 points
