Grapes for Sotorrondero are sourced from the lower area in Méntrida, yet it feels deeper than its younger siblings and shows the granite-sandy soils which are dominant in the area. With some Syrah in the blend, around 30% to 50% of the bunches are fermented with their stalks. Fragrant nose with blackberry and violet aromas over an earthy background. Well-defined fruit on the palate with firm tannins. It will benefit from a few months in bottle. 16.5 points
