Named after the 100-year-old linden tree that stands next to the Cuzcurrita castle, grapes are sourced from a vineyard on the surrounding hills called El Monte (the mount). 70-year-old Tempranillo vines virtually emerge from the sandstone rock. The wine reflects the farthest northwestern latitude in Rioja and the cool 2013 vintage. Elegant nose with rose petals, dried flowers and red fruits. The palate combines vibrant acidity, finesse and a chalky finish. This is Atlantic Rioja at its best. 17.5 points
