A great introduction to the wines of Soria in the Ribera del Duero appellation. You can feel the old vines grown at a high elevation in a cool climate in this red wine that avoided the devastating frosts of 2017. Good concentration and depth for a wine in this category. Black fruit, spices and distinctive earthy notes followed by a balanced palate with depth and well-integrated oak. Great value. 90 points
