Grapes are sourced from two vineyards called El Veneno and Los Burros located inland in Alto Vinalopó. Lovely fine, fragrant nose with ripe red fruit, plums and Monastrell’s trademark punch on the background. This is lighter than the standard from the area, yet there’s a real fruit explosion on the palate (blackberries, plums). An aromatic Mediterranean red that manages to avoid any traces of heaviness and warmth. My palate really appreciates it! 16.5 points
