This is an heroic wine made from old vines (many obscure varieties alongside Muscat) grown on slopes with a 45% gradient in Málaga’s Axarquía. A third of the grapes are fermented with their skins and later aged in egg-shaped concrete vats and French oak barrels. Fragrant nose (the presence of Muscat is always evident) followed by a mineral, mouth-watering palate ending on a long, slightly bitter finish. This is really distinctive and affordable considereing its rarity. 16.5 points
