Zárate Balado 2013 Blanco

The wine comes from two small, ungrafted parcels planted in 1950 and surrounded by a granite Burgundy clos-like wall (balo means wall in Galician). The wine remains in contact with its lees for about eight months. Minerality is particularly outstanding in this wine together with some petrol notes that add complexity. A dry, persistent white with a distinctive wet stone flavour on the finish. Only 2,660 bottles were made.
