Purgatori 2014 Tinto

A really interesting project by Familia Torres focused on indigenous grape varieties. It proves how well Garnacha and Cariñena can perform in very dry, hot areas such as Finca de los Desterrados, their property in Lleida. Ripe black fruit (plums), floral (violet) and spicy aromas. Balanced, aromatic, almost explosive palate with intense notes of macerated herbs. The increasing presence of Garnacha in the blend means a more expressive red. A delicious Mediterranean wine.
