Paydos 2011 Tinto

The name of this wine is a tribute to the Alonso del Yerro family’s young son, Pedro (his initials are PAY and two (“dos”) is his favourite number). It is deep garnet in colour with delicate, complex aromas of blue fruits (blueberries), violet, pine nuts and an earthiness, with a good definition of the fruits overall. Powerful on the palate, the strength comes from the high alcohol content, while it also features well-integrated tannins. A very good wine although somewhat warm.
