The first vintage year in which the winery’s reserve was designated as Selección Especial (“special selection”). Ruby in colour with a slightly tawny rim. On the nose, there are aromas of leather, fruit in liqueur, sweet spice (cinnamon), roasted meat, as well as a smokiness with a note of embers. Silky on the palate, with lots of acidity and flavours of fruit in liqueur, leather and game, as well as an inky quality and persistent finish.
