This vintage won’t be available in Spain until early 2017. The blend includes more Garnacha and Graciano than in the previous vintage. This wine seems to be moving away from the traditional Reserva style in favor of reflecting Murrieta’s terroir in every new vintage. Fruit is gaining ground (ripe cherries) as well as a minty, herbal character that is the trademark at the Ygay estate. This is a medium-bodied red with good acidity and a clear Mediterranean profile.
