Intense cherry colour, orange rim. Complex nose with aromas of preserved fruit, wild herbs (rosemary, thyme), damp earth and sweet spices. Intense, powerful palate, with freshness, great character and an intensely aromatic finish, still quite lively for a 2006. Interesting to feel how the balsamic notes offset the warmer slate notes to build an extremely long finish.
