La Salvación 2020 Blanco

This beautiful Godello speaks loud and clear about the high potential of this white variety in Bierzo, at least when sourced from old vines and grown in cool areas. There was some reduction (flinty notes) on the nose when I first tasted it in November 2021 but it has opened up to show well-defined white fruit and fine smoked and aniseed aromas. The palate is gorgeous, combining weight and vibrancy, with lovely zesty citrus character and a very long finish
