La Pedrissa 2013 Tinto

Not a grape variety you would expect to find in Terra Alta, but apparently it used to be widely planted in the past. This is a single-vineyard red from a plot planted above an ancient Roman quarry. Deep ruby colour. Lively, complex and expressive nose with ripe fruit and herbal notes. Deep, mineral palate with bright acidity (the finish feels almost citrusy) and earthy tannins but the structure is much finer than in Priorat.
