Jiménez-Landi Ataulfos 2016 Tinto

This is a single-vineyard Garnacha from El Real de San Vicente, the only village in DO Méntrida within the boundaries of the Gredos mountains. Compared with Piélago, the other Garnacha produced by Jiménez-Landi in El Real, this one feels more mature and structured with liqueur fruit (blueberry) and violet aromas followed by a powerful palate with marked tannins and high acidity. The wine shows a lot of potential but it definitely needs to be laid down for some time.
