This is and old style Bierzo. A field blend, foot-treaded red fermented with stems that brings to mind the homemade wines minus the flaws. Both the design of the label and the style suggest a wine to be enjoyed on a regular basis, with vibrant acidity, abundant but nuanced fruit and extra structure from the stems. Unpretentious and pleasant.
