Cosme Palacio 1894 2012 Tinto

Deep purple colour. This is a fruit-driven, energetic red wine with blackberries, liquorice and violet aromas. Lovely, vibrant palate with a well-defined expression of Tempranillo grown in Laguardia. Right now the fruit is dominant but it shows great potential to develop over the next few years. Price is rather high. The wine aged in 500-litre barrels, far larger than what's normally found in Rioja.
