Deep ruby colour. Ripe black fruit (plum) with good depth, cocoa and toasted aromas (new oak, nuts) with some spicy notes on the nose. Broad and savoury palate packed with lots of fruit and oak flavours. It displays lively acidity and volume even though oak tannins mark the finish and the texture. Additional bottle time recommended.
