In order to extend its aging potential, the most powerful and structured grapes are destined to this Gran Reserva 890. That’s why it often feels closed in comparison to the 904. Regardless of this fact, it displays its trademark aromatic complexity with lots of spices and well-defined fruit. The palate is dominated by a lively acidity while tannins are firmer and somewhat earthier than the 904. An elegant, classic Rioja which will benefit for some additional cellaring.
