VIR (Independent Rioja vignerons)

A total of 38 independent vignerons from 18 villages across Rioja unite to present their wines and champion the vineyard and its origins. Veteran and renowned producers such as Artuke, Abel Mendoza, Miguel Merino, Oxer and Arizcuren, as well as up-and-coming young names such as Vignerons de la Sonsierra, Jade Gross, Dani Resa, Área Pequeña and Familia Quintana will be taking part in this very special tasting.

Las Pedreras Tasting

Bárbara Requejo, of Bodegas Las Pedreras, will present her family project based in Villanueva de Ávila, in the Sierra de Gredos. These are high-altitude Garnachas sourced from the estate’s own vineyards in Villanueva, Navarrevisca and Cebreros. To accompany the wines, the MUKA kitchen will serve marinated anchovies with lemon and garum; calçots with truffle vinaigrette; and roasted beetroot with cultured curd and citrus.

Second Blind Tasting Competition - Ulisses Vinateria

For the second consecutive year, Ulisses Vinateria in Menorca is organising a blind tasting open to anyone of legal drinking age. All you need is a desire to taste fine wines, regardless of whether you are a wine professional or not. The competition is held in a single phase with eight wines to taste and prizes of €5,000 for the winner, €2,000 for the runner-up and €1,000 for third place. In addition to the competition, there will be a small fair featuring small-scale food producers from Menorca. On the 16th, there will be a wine fair with around 35 producers from more than DO's in Spain, as well as international wines from Alma Vinos Únicos and Lavinia.
