Valenciso welcomes the month of August with good live music and the estate-grown wines to toast to everything they like about this month: long evenings, the open air, good company, good wines...

The Patio de la Tonelería or bodega Las Copas at González Byass in Jerez will host a new edition of Tío Pepe Festival, featuring some eternal glories in the national and international scene such as Coque Malla, Pastora Soler, Santana o Yerai Cortés. The food will be prepared by restaurants El Huaso and Pedro Nolasco. More details about the festival in the link.

A wine tourism experience that combines wine and gastronomy with music, stargazing and a masterclass given by astronomers from the Garraf Park Astronomical Observatory. The wines available are, from Penedès, Clos Ancestral and Waltraud Riesling; from Costers del Segre, Purgatori, a wine made from local grape varieties; and from California, Marimar Estate Tempranillo. Diners will also be served a glass of Vardon Kennett's Esplendor sparkling wine and a cocktail made with Torres Brandy to accompany desserts.

This festival includes live music, a tapas competition, various shows and Somontano wine tastings. Today's tasting will cover the history of the wines of this Aragonese region and will be led by Ferran Centelles.

De Albariza hosts a tasting on the subject of heroes and heroines in history. It will be presented by historian Manuel Parodi.

Holiday makers and visitors in Castilla y León can check out Sonorama in Aranda de Duero. This music festival will have on stage dozens over 120 artists such as Fermín Muguruza, Franz Ferdinand, The K's, En Tol Sarmiento, Carolina Durante, Amaia or Arde Bogotá, among others. La Taberna der Guerrita in Sanlúcar has changed its famous summer tastings for dinners in the intimate atmosphere of the back room and today's tasting will be led by Pepe Blanco, a Sanlúcar native who has left La Callejuela behind to go solo with his new white wines from the Marco.

The Denominación de Origen Utiel Requena hosts an event to enjoy wine with 18 producers from the area: Novos, Bruno Murciano, Vinícola Requenense, Vinos y Sabores Ecológicos, Bodegas Vibe, Raíces Ibéricas, Coviñas, Vera de Estenas, Bodega Jiménez Vila, Bodega Vinea Clausa, Bodega Dussart Pedrón, Bodega Del Valle, Grupo Marqués del Atrio, Bodegas Utielanas, Bodegas Rodeno, Bodegas Lupanda, Escuadra and Las Mercedes del Cabriel. There will also be local food and live music.

The purpose of this event is to raise awareness of the wines, gastronomy and territory of Barbanza, in A Coruña. On Friday, at the Entre os Ríos winery in A Pobra, you can enjoy a tour of the vineyards, a tasting of gourmet tinned food and a musical tasting with Julián Maeso and Juanjo Figueroa. On Saturday 9, there will be a wine tunnel held in Pazo de Goiáns, with more than 50 wines from Galicia's Protected Geographical Indications (IXP's) and a performance by Grison Beatbox.

This festival in the Baja Montaña of Navarra combines archaeological heritage, local history and wine. A tasting focused on the Tempranillo variety, the third most planted red grape in the world and the chief emblem of the Spanish vineyards. The tasting is guided by Luis Valentín, co-founder of the winery. Afterwards, three pinchos from La Arboleda will be served with Valenciso Reserva 2019.

Agrícola Calcárea is Juan Jurado's small project in Sanlúcar. After more than a decade as a sommelier in the UK and Australia, in 2021 Juan decided to become a winegrower, investing his savings to buy a 1.2 hectare vineyard in Pago Miraflores. From there he produces six original, artisanal, non-DO wines that he will bring to the tasting at De Albariza.

Bodega Las Orcas in Rioja Alavesa is hosting an evening of music, wine and good atmosphere with a live performance by Secreto a Voces Acoustic Band. Each ticket includes two wines and two tapas.

A relaxed evening to visit Valenciso, chat with friends and enjoy live music of English and American classics from the 50's, 60's, 70's on the terrace. There will be paella with Valenciso wines. All proceeds will go to two charities: the Red Cross and Asprodema.

For the third consecutive year, Fernández Eguíluz in Ábalos, in partnership with La Casa del Burro de Peroblasco, celebrates this series of live music in rural locations, blending heritage, wine and culture. The line-up includes a performance by the Canarian group Mambisa, which mixes Canarian folklore, flamenco and Afro-Cuban rhythms. They will also perform on the 22nd at the Castillo de Préjano ( €15, bookings on +34 656 961001).

Born in 2019 in Chiclana de la Frontera, Borriquete Wines produces red and white wines with international varieties as well as some Tintilla de Rota, which will be presented at De Albariza.

Valenciso's winemaker, José Hernández, presents a selection of whites that capture the diversity and character of the Spanish vineyard. Through his experience, the audience will find out what he looks for in each glass, how he interprets each wine and why these were singled out.

The Ebro Park will be the setting for a new edition of Muwi Rioja Fest, a festival that brings together bands such as Rozalén, León Benavente, Carolina Durante, Los Punsetes and Zetak, among others. In addition to the concerts, there will be DJs, official festival wines (El Rayo, made by Olarra) with their own label, tastings, a photographic exhibition, food trucks and tasting of Rioja products.

For the third consecutive year, Bodega Fernández Eguíluz de Ábalos, in partnership with La Casa del Burro de Peroblasco, celebrates this series of live music performances in rural settings, bringing together heritage, wine and culture. Today will be the performance of Eixa, the personal project of the Valencian composer Isabel Latorre.

De Albariza hosts a wine and history tasting entitled “'Hold the glass for me”'. It will be presented by historian Manuel Parodi.
