CORPINNAT Gastronomic Festival

The fifth edition of this festival, which is held in the association's wineries throughout the month of July, offers a couple of dozen dinners prepared by the chefs of renowned restaurants such as La Tabla de Gijón, El Cigró d'Or, Cal Xim or Portal 22 paired with long-aged sparkling wines. Underground Tastings: CVNE

Catas Underground, organised by the newspaper NueveCuatroUno and Calado by Criteria, is held once a month and features Rioja producers. On this occasion the guest is Cune, one of the historic wineries in the Barrio de la Estación district of Haro with legendary brands such as Imperial and Monopole.

Sparkling wine tasting series: Corpinnat

The Cal Feru wine shop in Sant Sadurní has organised this series of three tastings of sparkling wines on three Thursdays in July. The first will be a tour of Corpinnat's new products: new producers, new vintages, exclusive bottlings and new formats. You can buy an individual or joint ticket for the three tastings. Nacho Jiménez of distribution company Alma Vinos Únicos and wine shop La Tintorería in Madrid presents a tasting of Bordeaux wines as part of the Bodegas a Pie de Calle event in Labastida.

Summer cinema in Franco-Españolas

Bodegas Franco-Españolas opens the doors of its winery in Logroño every Thursday in July for its summer cinema, with four films in VOSE preceded by a gastrobar, a wine bar and music. The summer fest presents the following films, inspired by the chemistry between their performers: I soliti ignoti on the 3rd, The Sting on the 10th, The Apartment on the 17th and Truman on the 24th. The winery will donate €1 from each ticket sold to the Food Bank.

Tasting of wines from Labastida

As part of the Bodegas a Pie de Calle 2.0 celebrations, a tasting will be held today featuring 16 single-vineyard wines from Labastida, presented by their producers.

Vijazz Penedès

Vilafranca del Penedès welcomes the summer with this festival that fuses wine and sparkling wine with national and international jazz. In addition to listening to good music, the Barcelona town will host the Wine and Cava Fair, with almost thirty wineries from the DO Penedès, DO Cava and Corpinnat, more than 300 wines and several tastings and pairings.

Bodegas a Pie de Calle 2.0

The village of Labastida in Rioja Alavesa celebrates this wine event with stands in the Barrio del Otero where you can taste wine from more than a dozen local producers such as Remelluri, Tierra, Carlos Sánchez, Manuel Quintano, Área Pequeña, Dominio del Challao or Alain Quintana, among others, and a guest winery from Valencia (Celler del Roure). There will also be music, a session on the history of wine with Salvador Velilla and a monologue by Agustín Durán.

Txakolin Jaia - Txakoli Fest

The town of Okondo celebrates its Txakolina Jaia today, which kicks off with a tasting of txakolis from Álava such as Gárate, Astobiza, Txikubin, Eukeni and Xarmant, accompanied by tuna pintxos and hamburgers. There will also be children's workshops, a toast with the actor and comedian Gorka Aginagalde and a concert by the group Radio Vinilo.

Introduction to Jura wines

In addition to its vibrant whites and fresh reds, the French region of Jura (1,900 hectares of vineyards) also produces vin jaune and vin de paille. Blanc de Noirs have been produced for years, mainly from the Pinot Noir variety, but they are also made from Mediterranean varieties. A tasting organized by wine store Cal Feru to discover the particularities of these sparkling wines.

Learning Drops: Regenerative viticulture

EDA Drinks & Wine Campus and Familia Torres present a conference on regenerative agriculture with three keynote speeches led by Xavier Domene, researcher at CREAF (Centre for Ecological Research and Forestry Applications); Ester Pérez, expert at The Regen Academy, and Carlos Garbisu, scientific director of NEIKER. There will also be a presentation of best practices with Montse Catasús, winemaker at Familia Torres; Roger Rovira, viticulture technician at Recaredo, and Agustí Torelló Roca, winemaker and viticulturist at AT Roca, who will lead a tasting of wines made with regenerative viticulture.

The Best of Canary Islands by Tim Atkin MW

International wine critic Tim Atkin MW presents his Special Report on Canary Island Wines and invites guests to an in-person event where more than 60 producers from all the islands will showcase over 100 wines rated 94 points or higher (a total of more than 250 wines). There will also be an after party (20:00 - 00.00, €85) with live music, food and wine.

La Taberna der Guerrita in Sanlúcar has swapped its famous summer tastings for dinners in the intimate atmosphere of the back room and today's will be led by Alejandro Muchada, from the local Muchada-Léclapart bodega, which makes biodynamic white wines with great personality.

A tasting of six premium products such as anchovies, cheese, fuet or creme caramel, paired with six European whites from Spain, Italy, France, Germany and Hungary.

Ribeira Sacra Festival

Wine and gastronomy will be present at the 17th Ribeira Sacra Festival, which will feature performances by bands such as The Jayhawks, Julieta Venegas, Angel Stanich and Alondra Bentley, among others, and will take place at different venues in the region and wineries such as Regina Viarum and Algueira. The concerts will be combined with catamaran trips on the river Sil, guided tours and several tastings.

World Essences: Mexico

Ramón Bilbao winery in Haro presents a gastronomic festival with snacks from the restaurants De Boca Madre (Bilbao) and La Difunta (Logroño) that will be served with five wines selected from Ramón Bilbao, a Mexican-inspired cocktail and live music to set the mood for the evening. There will also be a guided tour of the winery.

A stroll through the most renowned villages of the region, such as Sillery in the Montagne de Reims, Tours in the Marne, Le Mesnil in the Cote de Blancs or Mailly. El Lloar Wine Show

The town hall of El Lloar hosts a new edition of El Lloar and Solanes del Molar Wine Show with the following producers attending: Vinícola del Priorat, Torres Priorat, Clos 93, Portal del Priorat, Casa Gran del Siurana, La Griba, Celler de l’Abadia, Vins del Tros, Coca I Fitó and Celler Cecilio. There will also be live music and locally sourced food.

Clarete Battle

The Clarete Battle of San Asensio celebrates its 46th edition, welcoming thousands of people ready to throw litres and litres of wine donated by local wineries and cooperatives. The festival begins at 11:00 with the distribution of ‘jarritos’ and ‘preñaos’ in the arcades of the Town Hall and a parade to the Barrio de las Bodegas accompanied by a charanga (brass band). After the Battle, which begins at 13:00, there will be a tasting of local wines at the Monumento a la Uva, followed by a parade and paella for all those attending.

Albariño Wine Fest

The Fiesta del Albariño, which takes place since 1953, is a popular event with pop concerts, dancing parties and circus and magic attractions. Although the fiesta has turned to more leisurely activities away from wine, there is still a chance to taste Albariños in the Professional Wine Tunnel, a tasting room sponsored by the Rías Baixas appellation. The last day of the festival sees the announcement of the winning wine among all those competing.
