Klandestina, the wine and natural products shop in San Sebastian, hosts its first producers' fair, featuring 25 small wineries making natural or low-intervention wines. Among others, Azpillaga Urarte, Aristu, Clandestina, Dumenge, Augalevada, Ismael Gozalo, Jorge Olivera, Makatzak, Manin y sus muchachos, Mas Palou, Oscar Mestre and Panduro will be present.

This year, the international gastronomic event celebrating Sherry wines presents a programme of talks with titles such as Archaeogastronomy: Sherry in the time of Columella, Organic below 15º, Steak Tartar & Sherry Wines, Juli Soler, El Bulli and the Marco de Jerez, and Sherry and the Mystery of Palo Cortado 10 years on. The day after the lectures, there will be a wine fair and presentations of the pairings created by the eight restaurant teams before the jury.

Lavinia presents a salon to discover the wines of the 2024 Bordeaux vintage before their release, accompanied by great vintages that already offer exceptional maturity. The University of Barcelona (UB) and Familia Torres are holding a new edition of this conference. The winery from southern Zamora will be at La Mercería today explaining its soils, climate and old vines with a tasting of the following wines: Field Blend Tradición, Cenit Godello, Cenit Doña Blanca, Cenit and Cenit La Sabina.

The Arrels del Vi fair celebrates its 17th edition with the opportunity to taste wines from 28 wineries in the area, such as Vinyes d'Olivardots, Mas Oller, Hugas de Batlle, Terra Remota and the Espolla cooperative, among others, as well as a guest from Côte du Roussillon (Clos Cerianne). The price includes a Riedel glass, a guided tour of the archaeology museum, a children's workshop and a tapa of anchovies from L'Escala, as well as exhibitors with local products. There are also four tastings of Garnatxa wines from the Empordà, a vertical tasting of Celler Vinyes dels Aspres and another of Martí Fabra.

Second edition of Laguardia en Vino, featuring wines from 24 wineries in this walled village in Rioja Alavesa, showcasing wines exclusively sourced from local vineyards. The ticket includes a glass, four pintxos prepared by Cristian Solana (chef at El Puntido restaurant) and a tasting of local cheeses. The band Denote will play live music.

Two days in the vineyards of Sanlúcar tasting wines from natural wine producers and chatting with wine growers from the vineyard (7th) and other local amateur producers who will bring their sulphite-free wines to Taberna La Herrería (8th) where you can also have a meal (10 €).

The Fira del Vi Solidari (Charity Wine Fair) was created by a group of wineries in the Masroig area to help fund medical research into childhood cancer through the Obra Social de Sant Joan de Deu charity. At the fair, visitors can taste wines from the participating wineries (Orto Vins, Coca i Fitó, Dit Celler, La Trullola, Cellers Can Blau and Celler El Masroig) and buy a charity wine. There will also be children's activities, tastings, a raffle and music.

The Association of Sommeliers of Navarra has invited winemaker Gonzalo Celayeta to present a tasting of rosé wines that are part of the official selection of DO Navarra wines, chosen by the Regulatory Board itself. The following day, the tasting will feature white and red wines. After the tasting, if you wish, you can stay for dinner, which will be paid for on site at a cost of £30.

After recovering old Garnacha vines in Cebreros, Beatriz Herranz returned to La Seca and Verdejo with a plot of land inherited from her grandfather in the Cantarranas area. This is how Barco del Corneta, her personal winery, was born, later joined by Félix Crespo (formerly of Belondrade & Lurton). Together they produce artisanal Verdejos, fermented with native yeasts, which capture the purity of the variety, the soil and the climate. Today you can taste their range of wines.

The association for the recovery of the vineyards and the wine-growing tradition of Jiloca celebrates the third edition of Vinos del Jiloca with talks and presentations on soils, the aroma of wine, the current market situation, tastings of wines from participating wineries and a visit to the local vineyards.

Juan Manuel Hidalgo, head of the historic Hidalgo winery in Jerez, will lead a tasting to explain what it means to make wine in a cellar like his. Three olorosos and three finos aged for different lengths of time, accompanied by the corresponding muststhey are made from, will demonstrate that the true maker of sherry is, of course, time.

Under the title “Living vineyards: regenerative strategies for the wine-growing ecosystem”, this symposium will analyse the impact of carbon sequestration in the soil, carbon credit regulations and compensation systems. It will also address how to measure soil health and how to improve the fertility and resilience of vineyards. Finally, the results of two research projects studying the impact of regenerative viticulture in which Familia Torres is participating will be presented.

Bárbara and Guzmán are the founders of this winemaking project that was born in 2020 in the Alto Alberche valley in Gredos. Focused on the respect for the environment, manual labour and the authenticity of the landscape, they produce wines that express the character of the region where they work. Ismael Gozalo, from Microbio Wines, together with other partners from his village, Nieva, is organising a natural wine festival with 18 domestic and international producers, including Tierra, Dani Ramos, Esmeralda García, Mahara, La Perdida, Oriol Artigas, Pigar, Vinos al Margen, Sendero del Pino, Puerta del Viento, Andrea Peradotto, Clos des Vignes du Maynes from Burgundy and —check this out— Domaine Ganevat.

The town council and wineries of Gratallops host a new edition of Tastets de Gratallops, a wine tasting event in this DOQ Priorat village, accompanied by live music, a photo booth and prize draws. The wineries taking part include Álvaro Palacios, Arrels del Priorat, Atavus, Clos de L'Obac, Clos Figueras, Clos Mogador, Josep Grau, Mas Martinet, Meritxell Pallejà and Trossos del Priorat, among others.

More than 35 Galician and Madrid wineries will be in Madrid today presenting their wines at a tasting open to the public, promoted by José Dieste and inspired by the Castes fair, which has been held for several years in Vilagarcía de Arousa. Among the producers in Madrid are Cume do Avia, Pablo Soldavini, Sañas, Nanclares y Prieto, Forjas del Salnés, Anónimas Wines, Abadía da Cova, Bernardo Estévez, O Cabalín, Algueira, Marañones and Aurelio García.

On 16 June in Barcelona and 17 June in Madrid you will have the opportunity to taste the wines of the 2024 vintage for the first time at Vila Viniteca’s En Primeur presentation. Producers will be present with barrel samples and a large selection of Bordeaux châteaux.

Four of the wineries that will be at the Castes Madrid fair on the 15th are holding tastings at different wine bars in the capital. Saíñas will be at De Vinos (18:00), Bernardo Estévez at La Caníbal (18:00), Dominio do Bibei at Krudo Raw Bar (19:30) and Nanclares y Prieto at Berria (20:30).

This tasting will delve into viticulture, origin, varieties, biotypes, clones and rootstocks, and will showcase the results of this effort in the Echauz wines from the estate in Soria, which is the basis for this new project.

Located on the southern slopes of the western Pyrenees, Irouleguy covers just 270 hectares, mostly planted on steep terraces. This tasting will feature wines from six of its most important producers: Bordaxuria, Etxondoa, Arretxea, Apelxenia and Amama, together with the Cave Cooperative d'Irouleguy.

Sherry wines are produced in a region with unique climatic influences, three grape varieties (Palomino Fino, Pedro Ximénez and Muscat) and a special ageing system that gives them a lot of personality. In this tasting, we will learn about the different profiles and identify their differences, and we will learn the meaning of words such as solera, cabeceo, crianza biológica and crianza oxidativa. Rubielos de Mora in Teruel hosts the fourth edition of Rubvinos, a show organised by the winemaker Juanvi Alcañiz (Rubus) where guests will have a chance to taste his wines together with 15 other producers such as Baigorri, Granbazán, Gratias, La Calandria, La Vía Líquida, Curii, Ukan, Barbacan or La Soufrandiere, among others, who will bring more than 80 labels. On the 21st the wine show will be open for the trade.

Gastronomy, music and wines from local wineries such as Álvaro Palacios, Celler Bartolomé, Casa Gran del Siurana, Celler Costers del Priorat, Celler Gran Clos, Clos Galena, Celler Solà Clàssic, La Griba, Mas Bell y Xavier Pallejà. There will also be music and tapas.

Wine tastings, local food, live music, workshops and much more at an event to discover and enjoy Rioja Alavesa. Sommelier Juanjo Figueroa will also be there to present several tastings, including one of Tempranillo wines from different regions and another of five wines paired with five songs.

Inspired by the paulées held in Burgundy, Saddle restaurant presents a day with sensory activities, themed food stations, expert-led tastings and the participation of Santi Rivas as master of ceremonies. Each attendee will have to bring their own bottle of a special wine, but there will also be wines from Alma Vinos Únicos, Dominio do Bibei, Taylor's Port, CVNE, Oremus and Terroir al Limit.

This wine festival in Ribera del Duero includes new activities this year: With your hands on the vine, a Barrel workshop and Painting and Wine. More than three decades of professional experience back up the career of José Manuel Pérez Ovejas, who until 2019 was the author of the labels for his family's winery in Viña Pedrosa and has since been the leader of a personal project, Dominio de Calogía. This tasting will feature: Dominio de Calogía Doble M (2021 and 2020 vintages), Dominio de Calogía (2022, 2021 and 2020 vintages) and Dominio de Calogía Cuvée ‘S’ (2020 vintage).

An opportunity to taste wines from the 2024 vintage as well as other finished wines from the following estates: Dominio de Pingus, Sierra Cantabria, Dominio de Es, Contacto, Alvaro Palacios, Descendientes de J. Palacios, Cuentaviñas, Uvas Felices, Niepoort, Tardieu-Laurent, Château Rocheyron and more than 30 wines from Bordeaux. In addition, András Bacso, the winemaker of Oremus, will lead a tasting of the wines that Tempos Vega Sicilia makes in Tokaj. The tastings will take place from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 18:00 to 20:00.

Antonio Candelas presents a tasting with examples of maritime wines such as Itsasmendi Eklipse, Adina by Gerardo Méndez and Vallehondo from Huelva, along with other ‘mountain’ wines such as 992 Finca Rio Negro, Supersónico by Bodegas Frontonio, Las Luces de Las Moradas de San Martín and wines from Bodegas Clunia in Burgos.

Zuccardi is a family winery founded in 1963 in Mendoza (Argentina) and run by José Alberto, from the second generation, and his son Sebastián, who heads the viticulture and winemaking team. Since its inception, it has stood out for its innovative and visionary capacity and is a benchmark beyond Argentina. In this tasting, Sebastián Zuccardi himself will present the following wines: Fósil Chardonnay 2023, Finca Los Membrillos Semillón 2019, Finca Las Cuchillas Chardonnay 2021, Polígonos San Pablo Cabernet Franc 2022, Aluvional Los Chacayes 2019, Finca Los Membrillos Cabernet Sauvignon 2019, Finca Piedra Infinita 2019, Finca Piedra Infinita Gravascal 2020 and Finca Piedra Infinita Supercal 2020.

Is Brett always a defect? This and many other similar questions will be answered by Tao Platón, winemaker, DipWSET and Master of Wine student, during the course on wine defects that he will be teaching, which includes a tasting of more than 25 wines.

Some Saint-Estèphe wines are every bit as good as those from other villages in the Médoc such as Margaux or Saint-Julien. Authentic world-class wines such as Estournel, Montrose and Ségur are proof of the consistent quality that has placed Saint-Estèphe among the best Bordeaux wines in recent years. Bodegas Barbadillo presents Ignota, a tour of three century-old cellars in Sanlúcar's Barrio Alto: the Casa de la Cilla, where the oldest wines are aged, the founding cellar of El Toro and the unique spaces of the Angioletti bodega, such as the Atamán space. Throughout the tour, visitors will be able to taste old wines, manzanillas and vermouth.

Barberà de la Conca (Tarragona) hosts a new edition of Festa del Trepat with a popular breakfast and picnic, visits to the vineyards, an art and wine exhibition, children's activities and music. Haro will once again celebrate its traditional Wine Battle, an event where thousands of people head up to the fields of San Felices, on the outskirts of the town in La Rioja, to throw huge quantities of wine at each other. New this year, there will be buses taking people to the fields of the Cofradía de San Felices.

OSA and sommelier Marla González -who has just won the Spanish Blind Tasting Championship with her team- are hosting an cocktail party with food from this fine dining restaurant in Madrid and wines from Vinícola Real - 200 Monges. DJ Chelis will be spinning some music at the event.

New edition of the Las Palmas Wine Fair, which alternates with the Tenerife Wine Fair held in 2024. Exhibitors include Álvarez de Toledo, Piedra Fluida, Arautava, Bodegas Insulares Tenerife, Mar de Frades, Nivarius, Pandora, Trus, Freixenet, Leo & Niné Wines, Ramón Bilbao and Pago de Tharsys.

In addition to their estate in Priorat, Ester Nin and Carles Ortiz grow grapes in El Pla de Manlleu, between Alt Camp and Penedès, where they make white and sparkling wines.
